Poem on Revelation 11 by James M. Hamilton Jr

Through flame and flood, with plague and blood,
The gospel is proclaimed
The Spirit flows, the church it grows
The beast he is enraged

Measuring rod and line outstretched
The Father knows his own
As martyrs die the saints will sigh
And they cry out, How long?

And then at last, the trumpet blast
And Christ will reign as King
Creation sings, the praises ring
For this the world was made.
